Something here about tables
How to join tables together
And a bit more about columns
And a bit more about columns
Data is the foundation of any Airtable system. Get that right and your base will start to come to life as you’d envisaged it - automations, dashboards, and all the rest.
But knowing which tables to create, and how to structure them, is not easy. You might find yourself lost in a web of linked records, or find your data doesn’t ‘click’ together as you’d expected.
This is known as data modelling. Learning the core principles can help rapidly unlock and accelerate your progress towards building Airtable systems that perform, grow and scale with your business
This could be for you if…
- You’d consider yourself non-technical (but you’re comfortable in Excel)
- You’ve started building something in Airtable already. You may have got stuck, that’s ok!
- You might be a Solopreneur, small business owner, employee, or career changer
What you’ll learn
- How to model relationships
- How to structure tables
- Junction tables
- something b
The course will be practical and hands-on, with Airtable exercises
We will take a hands-on example through multiple stages of iteration, with you rolling up your sleeves and applying what you’ve learnt in Airtable exercises. We’ll learn:
- How to structure an Airtable table: When should multiple tables be one?
- When should one table be split out into two or three?
- When should I add columns to an existing table, and when should I create a new table?
- How can I structure my data to do roll-ups and calculate metrics at the the right level?
- How should I think about primary keys (the first column) in Airtable? How should I manage and avoid duplicates?
- How to layout my whole base so that I can capture and store all the data I need
We’ll learn
Why attend?
- something a
- something b
