Building your own Airtable system can be a great way to save costs and give yourself powers to change or evolve the system whenever you need to.
But in reality it is harder than it looks. The “no-code” term is something of false promise - a lot of technical concepts are involved. Building a good system still requires thinking like a software engineer.
That is where private, 1:1 coaching comes in. With support through the difficult bits, you can progress at pace and get that first Airtable system up and running!
Benefits of Coaching
Airtable is a fantastic, powerful tool. But learning the ropes can take time. Coaching can help you:
- Get unblocked and start building!
- Solve technical problems you’re stuck with
- Choose the right technical architecture for your project
- Establish solid data architecture foundations for your project, saving you headaches down the line
- Save LOTs of time trying to figure things out on your own or making mistakes
- Get help with scoping and prioritisation (e.g. what should be included in the MVP)
- Figure out what is possible / sensible to take on yourself
Where I can help
I generally help with the ‘Hard Bits’, the parts of development that cause people to struggle:
- Data Architecture: How to structure data in your Airtable base
- APIs & Integrations: How to pull data into your base from anywhere
- System Design and Architecture: How to choose the right software tools to support your project
- Base Architecture: How to link and sync Airtable bases
- Workflows: How to shape and design Airtable to mirror the way your teams works
- Interfaces and UX: How to design an intuitive and practical user experience
- Permissions and sharing: How to make sure people only see data they are supposed to see
I also work with tools around Airtable, such as Make, Smartsuite, Parabola, Noloco and more.
Happy Clients
Without Tom's expertise, I would have struggled to structure my tables, likely launching prematurely and encountering costly setbacks along the way. His approachability and genuine investment in the project was really welcomed and I'll be consulting him on my existing project and any future projects to come.” Founder, UK-based start-up (2024)
