These projects typically take from a few weeks to a few months, and wherever possible I will spend time on-site and in-person with clients during the design and build of the system (especially in London and the South East).

Success for me is the system is still in use by the team 3-5 years later. Everything (architectural decisions, UX, maintainability, etc) should orient towards this
User Experience Matters
Always start from people and workflows, only then working back to the technology, data and architecture. Systems only work when they work for people
Don’t compromise on architecture
Do the work to find the right tools, or combination of tools. Take the time to understand the full context of the business (its people, its current tech stack, its vision/ambitions and strategic plans, and so on)
